Privacy Policy

Livecade ("we", "us", or "our") operates the livecade.io platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your email address, name, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store your plain-text password). If you sign in via Google or Discord OAuth, we receive your name and email from that provider.
TikTok usernames
You voluntarily provide TikTok usernames to connect your streams. We store these usernames to identify which TikTok Live stream to connect to. We do not store your TikTok password or access tokens.
Usage data
We collect session activity including game sessions started, session duration, peak viewer counts, and total event counts. This data is used to display statistics in your dashboard and to improve the platform.
Uploaded files
Sound files and GIF images you upload to the DJ Pad feature are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage. These files are associated with your account and served only during your live sessions.
Log data
Our servers automatically record IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and debugging purposes. These logs are retained for 30 days.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and deliver the Livecade service
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure
- To connect to your TikTok Live stream during active sessions
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
- To display session statistics in your dashboard
- To diagnose bugs and improve platform reliability
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Data Sharing
We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate the service:
- Cloudflare R2 — file storage for uploaded sounds and GIFs
- Google / Discord — only if you choose to sign in via OAuth
- TikTok — we connect to TikTok's public live stream API to receive viewer events (comments, gifts, likes) on your behalf
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Session history is retained indefinitely to power your dashboard statistics. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@livecade.io.
5. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Database backups are encrypted. We run on a private VPS with restricted access. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

7. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.
8. Children
Livecade is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. We will notify registered users by email for any material changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
